The Role
We are looking for an earned first Senior Associate (Senior Account Manager) to work across UK and global brands with a particular focus on clients across the lifestyle, luxury, and cultural space. You’ll be culturally astute and will enjoy bringing your personal passion for the arts and luxury space to your work environment. You will be driven by achieving outstanding publicity for your clients and will ensure your media network is nurtured and continues to grow, particularly across lux titles. From a team perspective you will be an inspiring mentor to junior colleagues, helping them to fulfil their potential and will be confident managing upwards acting as a conduit between colleagues at all levels. You will be used to managing key pieces of retained business on a week-to-week basis and adept at managing multiple accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Confidently and successfully pitch stories to national and trade media on an ongoing basis
- Manage complicated media enquiries from start to finish on a regular basis, including the publication of approved client statements/comments that you have created
- Provide reactive comment in response to media enquiries, following guidance from line managers
- Confidently manage journalists, both reactively and proactively and nurture your relationships with key titles. Be accountable for managing these relationships
- Confidently and concisely present progress reports, project updates and new ideas to junior clients either face-to-face, by telephone and by email
- Regularly create documents that you have developed on your own (i.e. press releases, reports, statements) that demonstrate your attention to detail, skills in producing written documents for both media and clients with minimal corrections from your line manager
- Development of talent briefing documents and attending the briefings themselves
- Act as a mentor to junior team members including interns and work experience, identifying areas of development, and helping your senior colleagues to nurture and develop them
- Ensure full and complete understanding of how to use digital platforms / services
- Maintain an understanding of the influencer landscape – keeping abreast of the latest digital media influencers relating to your clients and their respective products
- Supporting new business proposals and pitches.
