freuds and Proud Robinson helped the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) at their 43rd Annual Meeting in Tunisia. The teams coordinated two large events including the Opening Ceremony where Proud exhibited their excellent photos and videos from the case studies provided by IsDB, and the launch of the TRANSFORM fund moderated by our own Chairman, Matthew Freud.
The IsDB Annual Meeting was attended by representatives from the IsDB’s 57-member countries and included high profile attendees such as the Prime Minister of Tunisia, Emir of Kano and senior Government and business officials from across the Islamic world. An exciting feature of the Annual Meeting, and coordinated by freuds and Proud Robinson, was the announcement of the new IsDB fund worth $500M, designed to help fund innovative science and technology projects in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Highlighting the impact of the investment the TRANSFORM fund will have, freuds organised a panel discussion with key opinion leaders in the field. Topics covered by the panel were the challenges for real change, the future of public and private partnerships for development and the next steps for science and technology projects in catalysing development in regions where equality of access to education and healthcare infrastructures which is now top of the agenda.
We have been very proud to work alongside the IsDB in launching this excellent fund and look forward to seeing the results of the initiatives that it will support.
