For our latest iteration of raising awareness for the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development (something we have worked on since their launch in 2015) freuds teamed up with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Project Everyone to help run the Global Goals Awards Dinner and inaugural Goalkeepers daytime conference in New York.
The objective of the event was to enlist a new generation of Goalkeepers: leaders and influencers that are dedicated to accelerating progress towards achieving the Global Goals, from all corners of the world. The concept was that great progress has been made so far – in our lifetimes we have witnessed the biggest decrease in poverty, disease and child deaths – but progress is not inevitable, and we need to create as much noise as possible around the Global Goals to ensure the accountability of world leaders to meet them.
The conference speakers included Barack Obama, Prime Minister Trudeau, Malala, Queen Rania, UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed, not forgetting will.i.am, George the Poet, Jerome Jarre, Trevor Noah and Casey Neistat.
As well as consulting on creative, VIP attendees, film production, and beyond, we were primarily responsible for media management on the ground: interviews with the speakers and ensuring we had a range of outlets in the room and in our media ‘theatre’ where we live streamed the event.
