Senior Research Manager

The Team

Republic is an insight-led strategy and communications agency, sitting at the heart of Freuds Group.

We are a team of 12 research and communications experts working with companies at the forefront of global change. We use insights to future-proof brands, drive reputations and land communications. We use qualitative and quantitative research to develop insights and strategies that help our clients connect their story to their audience's priorities.

We specialise in Key Opinion Formers: those who are instrumental in shaping and influencing the landscape. We place our emphasis on analysis and storytelling, by interrogating findings and joining the dots between cultural context and commercial imperatives. We produce thoughtful, actionable reports that tell our clients where their reputations currently stand, and how to move them forward.

Clients we work with include Google, FCDO, Mercedes and Netflix.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Research Manager or Associate Director (dependent on experience) with experience of;

  • Conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative research
  • Using research to develop brand and reputation strategies, communications and message development
  • A deep understanding of political and policy landscape

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research projects (from the first meeting with the client through to the presentation of the findings)
  • Design research materials and stimulus; including discussion guides, questionnaires, and messages for testing
  • Conduct qualitative research; focus groups and depth interviews
  • Conduct quantitative research; online surveys
  • Analysis and reporting – identifying insights, structuring of reports, building of strategic recommendations
  • Presenting findings to clients
  • Keeping abreast of new insight techniques and client portfolio news
  • Proposal writing and costing

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Extensive experience working in a research company
  • Experience of conducting and analysing qualitative and quantitative research, including online surveys andpanels, focus groups and IDIs
  • Experience of both opinion former and consumer research
  • Experience of working on high-profile, market-leading brands, across a range of public sector, consumer and corporate clients
  • Used to working in a client-facing environment
  • Using research to help develop communications strategy
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Project management experience
